Taking Care of Your Eyes Right At Home

As we all know, taking care of our eyes is important not only for health reasons but also for us to look good in front of others. But not all of us can afford to to buy those branded eye creams and other expensive eye care products. So, what can you do to take care of your eyes without hurting your pocket in turn?

Luckily, the answer is actually just sitting right beside you. You see, your home is full of stuff that you can use as simple eye remedy and care products. And with these, you need not to worry about putting in too many chemicals into your eyes just to clean them, as these are all natural.

Just like many people, you will be using your eyes a lot for work. And this will surely get your eyes very tired and puffy, especially if you have had quite a lot of sleep lately. To remove the puffiness and relax your eyes, the simplest that you can do is to get two spoons and put then into the freezer. Remember not to freeze them. You then put these under your eyes to relax them for a few minutes.



Cucumbers, on the other hand, are perhaps the most well known treatment for eye puffiness. All you have to do here is to get two slices and put them over your eyes for a few minutes. Alternatively, if you don't have cucumbers at home, you can use strawberries or even a cold bowl of milk and a few pieces of cotton balls to relax your eyes.

It is also advised that you rest your eyes at least a few minutes in between when doing a lot of work. Simply close your eyes for a few seconds to about a minute to relax them. Also, it would be a good idea to exercise your eyes during your breaks to ensure that they can keep up with the strain. One easy exercise that you can do is to simply roll your pupils without moving your head for about a minute.

Keeping your eyes clean is also essential in ensuring that they stay healthy. Washing your eyes every night before you sleep is useful, not only in relaxing them but also in cleansing your eyes of the dirt that they have gathered during the day. On the other hand, for a quick eye drop, you can put in a few drops of rose water into a bowl of cold water and use this.

Having the right kind of diet will also be helpful in maintaining the health of your eyes. Eat a lot of food reach in vitamin A. Also, be sure to take in supplements to complete your daily nutritional requirements.
